AI is being built for a billion people. We work for the next billion.
Every wave of technology has drawn a line between those it reaches and those it leaves behind. AI is drawing that line faster and deeper than anything before it. QriusAI Foundation exists to redraw it, so that the organizations and communities doing the hardest social work are not the last to get the most powerful tools of our time.
The divide we exist to close
AI literacy is the new digital divide. And this time the gap is opening at the speed of the technology itself.
The last divide was about access to the internet. This one is about who can understand, trust, and use AI, and who gets used by it instead. Corporations and well-funded institutions are already fluent. The nonprofit sector, the grassroots organizations closest to the people who need help most, are being left to figure it out alone, if they hear about it at all.
We don't think that gap is inevitable. We think it is the most fixable inequity in technology right now. Closing it is not a matter of charity or hype. It is a matter of translation: turning the frontier of AI into practical capability that a first-time nonprofit worker and a district-town student can actually use. That translation is the work. It is what we do, and it is what almost no one else is doing at the grassroots.
What we believe
The principles behind the work
Inclusion is a design choice, not an afterthought.
AI will not reach the grassroots by accident. Someone has to build for the people the market ignores. We start from the last mile and work back, not the other way around.
Clarity is the real expertise.
AI is drowning in jargon, and jargon is how the sector gets locked out. Our hardest and most important job is to make AI legible: plain enough for a first-time user, honest enough for a skeptic.
Capability outlasts tools.
Handing over a tool changes nothing if the capacity to use it walks out the door. We build the understanding that stays, so a nonprofit keeps getting stronger long after we leave.
The grassroots are not beneficiaries. They are builders.
We write and work about the communities we serve with dignity, never pity. Given the tools and the literacy, they are the ones who will build inclusive AI, not us on their behalf.
